The Seoul Musical Production will perform a modern reinterpretation of the classic musical 'Fiddler on the Roof' in celebration of its 60th anniversary.

This musical shows a father's love, joy, happiness, and life through Tevye, who maintains a positive attitude towards life despite poverty and hardship. He compromises his sense of tradition and stubbornness for his beloved daughters and wishes for their happiness. This musical is dedicated to all the fathers and their precious families!

SYNOPSIS

Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman, lives with his wife and five daughters in Anatevka, a small village in Ukraine. They have no country nor land, and are wandering from place to place, but Tevye is happy with his wife and five daughters, sustaining the traditions of his ancestors.
In Jewish tradition, it is very important to get married through a process of matchmaking. Tevye is planning to marry his first daughter, Tzeitel, to a wealthy but old butcher, according to this tradition, but Tzeitel was already in love with a poor tailor and childhood friend, Motel. His second daughter, Hodel, declares she will marry Perchik, a radical revolutionary who insists the world needs to change. Even the third daughter, Chava, falls in love with Fyedka, a Russian soldier who tries to suppress the Jews.
